Wolves Blew It!

Wolves blew it with a 'lack of quality'! Well, according to Glenn Hoddle Wolverhampton Wanderers missed the chance of taking all three points against Ipswich following the 1-1 draw. Hoddle has bemoaned the lack of finishing by the Wolves players as well as the referee's decision to give a penalty to the tractor boys.

He told the official site there is no excuse for the players not to have found the back of the net. 'I'm fuming - both with the players for their lack of finishing and the referee for the penalty he gave against us. It wasn't a penalty - I saw Gabor get to the ball and put it out for a corner, but then if we can't score from the yardage we had today, then I don't know what to tell you.'

Warning that without a 'killer instinct' the players will become known as 'underachievers'

He also questions whether he needs to toughen up the training 'Maybe I need to change the way we train - I'll feel like having five days off and leave the fitness coach to run them into the ground. I have told them that they're in for a hard week after this. Even the under eight's from the Academy could have found the net from where we were today, it's just not acceptable, but I don't even know if they realise that and I can't protect them with excuses.'
