'If It's Football, It's Vital'

It's all about enjoying football

Ståle Solbakken is the man entrusted with bringing the good times back to Molineux.

And if his efforts on the training pitch are anything to go by then it shouldn't be long until he fulfils his task.

The Premier League relegation hangover has been well documented over the years and the gaffer has spoken about since his first day in charge of the squad.

But the boss wants the players to rediscover their confidence and the message has been that you do that by enjoying your football.

"It`s about confidence and the manager has really tried to get that belief in us again, We did have a bit of a hangover from relegation and I think all teams who come down have that' Stephen Ward told the Express & Star.

He added: "We`ve had a lot of new lads come in and we seem to be getting better and better with every game.

"The manager is just telling us to go out there, do our jobs and have fun.'

It would appear to be working back-to-back wins over Leicester and Ipswich have moved us back up to eighth in the table, after a modest start following defeats at Leeds and Cardiff.

He continued: "After the last two games, the lads are looking confident and enjoying their football. He said he wants us to enjoy ourselves, which is something we haven`t done for a while on a football pitch."

I really hope we go all out against Peterborough! If we can get Doyle to hold the ball up for Tongo and/or Sako who seem to have a good eye for goal, we'll be in a good position for a victory! Come'on you Wolves!

I agree. We have greater fire-power in midfield and in Sako a huge asset in dead-ball situations. Doyle will definitely score before too long as he is looking sharper than I have seen him for a couple of seasons. I'm still worried about our defensive strength and not merely the fragility of our back four, who have improved over the last couple of games. In this respect, Henry's form is vital because he is our only capable enforcer. If we remain tight at the back and get a grip on the midfield, we will win comfortably ... if only it were that easy!

Maybe we could make a move for Frimpong on loan in Jan with a view to a perm deal , I would love that lad to take over from Henry if we get up , and Henry would be more than decent cover , I know I'm dreaming lol but hey no harm in that , if we can keep winning while our new attackers keep settling in it can only be good , Siggy's notched , Sako looks a right player , Boukari/Doumbia/Pescko will get better with more matches , luckily we have the likes of Forde Davis Edwards Hunt and O'Hara to come in if any of them need a rest ! , maybe the arrival of a new centre half has made RJ n Berra pull their socks up , I think Stale knows where to strengthen IF we get up this year , long long way off but hey to say how many left and how many have come in , its going in the right direction ! , Cardiff n Leeds away in your first few games for a new side was never going to help , two grounds I have always dreaded going to and two teams I'll always hate , so glad they are out the way !
