League position not important says Ståle

After three wins on the spin, Wolves gaffer Ståle Solbakken has said that he isn't overly concerned with league position at this point in the season.

Which is an easy comment to make when you take a look at the Championship table and see that we are sitting pretty in fifth place following the opening seven games of the season.

If we had struggled to string a couple of victories together and were just four points worse off, we could have been placed 16th or lower.

It's a tight league, but those points are the difference between building confidence and building concern.

But while things are going well, the new gaffer can concentrate on developing his new look squad.

"I don`t think the position is so important at the moment, What`s important is we continue to develop the new players together with the players here.' said Solbakken to the Express & Star.

He continued: "We still have things to work on and new players are settling in and coming into positions which big players have had here," he said.

"Every day it`s getting better and we have to carry on working on that.

"We still have a lot to work on but it`s going OK at the moment."

Vital Wolves Comment: Ståle Solbakken is expected to make a whole host of changes for the trip to Chelsea this evening.

Progression in this cup competition is not very high on the list of priorities at Molinuex so expect to see that reflected in the starting line-up.
