Foley edging closer to his best

He believes he is feeling better than he has done for the past year, so can Kevin Foley put down a marker for a regular first team spot?

A long term knee injury has caused Foley a lot of discomfort over the past few months but he was back playing last week against Peterborough.

The 27-year-old played 81 minutes, the first time he has featured since April last season.

"It felt great to be back against Peterborough for my first start of the season," Foley told Wolves Official Website.

He added: "I had struggled with injury early on but probably feel as good now as I have for a long time, probably since I had my operation last year.

"I feel good and am looking forward to getting more training under my belt and hopefully playing more games.

Vital Wolves Comment: Where do you see Foley fitting into Ståle Solbakken plans?

Be nice to see him back. The type of player that never lights up the world but goes about his business well. Gotta be better than the alternatives.

Defends better than Stearman and Zubar and can pass a ball , just the sort of full back you need for this level , the way Stearman and Zubar dive in is why Foley will always start ahead of them , sell Zubar or Stearman in January and bring through Matt Doherty ......
