Horror injury for Elokobi

George Elokobi suffered a fractured and dislocated ankle during his on-loan debut with Bristol City on Saturday.

The crushing injury happened during the first half of the Championship fixture against Leeds.

The injury will see him miss out on the remainder of the season.

Elokobi only made the surprise three-month loan move last week and with Big George being such a popular player at Molineux, the news is really hard to hear.

'All our thoughts are with George because it's a horrendous injury and he won't play again this season.' Bristol City manager Derek McInnes told the club's official website.

He added: 'He's fractured and dislocated his ankle and has gone off immediately for an operation.

'We wish him well and it's a real shame because he was so happy with this move and we were excited to be working with him.'
