Injury problems mount for Wolves

As well as the injury to George Elokobi over the weekend, Wolves have suffered other injury blows over the past week.

While Elokobi was being taken to hospital with a fractured and dislocated ankle during his on-loan debut with Bristol City, Razak Boukari suffered a calf injury against Sheffield Wednesday.

It's thought that he could be sidelined for around a month, but until the results of scan come back the prognosis is uncertain.

"We got a bad injury on Saturday with Razak, Hopefully it will be three weeks and not six but we don`t know - he has to have a scan and then we`ll know." Wolves gaffer Ståle Solbakken told Wolves Official Website.

Speaking about Stephen Hunt, the boss revealed more ban news that the 31-year-old midfielder will require surgery on his hip: "`Hunty` has had this problem for a long time where it feels loose around his hip and he needs to have this addressed because he`s 31, not 41 and he has a few years left playing in him,"

"I think we saw how he was affected in the Chelsea game and he will need to have an operation.

Georg Margreitter is also struggling with a hip problem and will continue to be monitored.

ok, well i think only Boukaris injury will affect us directly, and whilst I hope he isnt out too long, Stale must be compiling a wishlist for transfers in January ... we are very light on backup for any of the positions, and still need a good strong defender to partner Johnson at the back. WE ARE WOLVES !

... and Ward seems to be fit enough to play this evening. Thank goodness (did I really say that?)

Ward was the most improved and consistent player last season, and apart from a resurgent RJ, he is the best defender too ... This game will be a real text of where we are, but whatever the result. we've been vastly improved the past 3 of 4 games, long may the revival continue. UTW !!!

Well it looks like Psezko will be getting more time under his belt then... but who what wingers will be on the bench... Forde? Zeli? Play Foley further up and zubar that the back? With the glut of fixtures, are we able to terminate hammil's loan deal?

I'd take the Zubar of a couple of seasons ago but not the one currently on offer. I am really disappointed to see his decline this season because I have always rated him ... well, when he was going forward. At the moment, he is a risk too far.
