Another blow for Ståle

The injury problems were already beginning to mount for Wolves and then they got just that little bit worse with Slawomir Peszko stretchered off against Crystal Palace.

The blow comes following Razak Boukari suffering a calf injury against Sheffield Wednesday and of course Elokobi being taken to hospital with a fractured and dislocated ankle during his on-loan debut with Bristol City.

With Stephen Hunt sidelined with a hip problem which he's set to have an operation on, we now look extremely vulnerable in wide areas, so could we make a loan move in the coming days?

"That`s always a possibility and now it might be something we look at. We`ll see what we can do.

"That`s the second game for us where a wide player has got injured and that makes us a little bit vulnerable in that area.' Solbakken told the Express & Star.

Speaking about the extent of the injuries and how long we could be without both Boukari and Peszko he said: "Both of them will be out for a while and that`s not positive for us. What worries me is we had another injury in the wide area and are now short in that department.

"Peszko is not good. His knee ligaments are stretched and unstable. He`ll be out for a while - four to six weeks I think."

Vital Wolves Comment: Do you think we need to bolster our wide options with Bakary Sako left as our only true winger? Or do you think we should rotate the squad and try the likes of Dave Edwards, Stephen Ward or Kevin Doyle wide?

Perhaps you'd like to see youngsters Anthony Forde and Zeli Ismail given a chance? Or even see Leigh Griffiths recalled from his loan Hibernian?

Then let us know on the article comments below.

why not give Zeli a chance, if he is good enough he will grasp the chance. Also might be a chance to see Wardy on the wing with Foley left back and Stear right back.

What this shows is that we definitely need to bolster the squad with a couple of judicious loan signings PDQ!!

On another site, one poster has stated that apart from scoring two goals (against poor opposition), Zeli played poorly, was selfish, incapable of passing accurately and prone to losing the ball. I must admit that on the odd occasion I have seen him play on sites, including the official WW one, he has not really impressed me. He may be living off the reputation gained as a 14 year old ... but I know he divides opinion among fans. Reports suggest that MacAlinden is the better bet.
