'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Little On International Duty

Mark Little lines up for the England Under 19's at The Bescott Stadium tonight.

After having graduated through the youth ranks, Mark, who only celebrated his 18th birthday last month, now sits on the cusp of a first team place in Mick McCarthy's side.

After earning a place on the subs bench against Burnley, he made his full debut against Chesterfield in the League Cup, and believes that he has coach Terry Connor's hard working regime to thank for that.

'When I first moved up, I thought Terry was a tough coach but, a year on, I know what he's all about now.

'He really knows his football and is being a great help to me and the other young lads.

'After training I spend time with Terry on a one-to-one basis working on particular aspects of my game. He's really helping me to improve.'
