Gabor Gyepes has been sidelined since last March following his cruciate injury against Sheffield Wednesday at Molineux.
A regular in the side almost since his arrival, the Molineux Magyar was stretchered off to universal applause after a clash with Marcus Tudgay on the edge of the Wolves penalty area left him writhing in agony, and ended his season.
'I have never felt the kind of pain I felt that day before or since. It was bad, but I don't remember a lot about what actually happened.' he told the club's official site today.
'I don't know exactly what happened even now, because I don't want to see it back on video,'
'I worry that if I watch it then it might make me afraid of playing football again and I want to make sure I am ready to play again as soon as possible.'
Now, five months down the line, and following 2 operations, he is moving closer to entering training with the rest of the squad once more.
But that date is still measured in months, rather than weeks, or days.
'My knee is definitely getting better and I look forward to when I can again start to train with the rest of the players.' he went on, explaining the associated problems with recovering from the surgical operations.
'The knee isn't really painful, it is just stiff which makes it difficult to train hard because it stops me from doing some exercises.
'I don't know exactly when I can go back to training, I would like to think I could be moved up to the next stage by Christmas. I don't want to rush and then suffer another injury but, I want to be back as soon as I can.'
Get well soon Gabor, from all at Vital Wolves.
