Mick McCarthy has ruled out any chance of former Celtic captain Jackie McNamara making a return this weekend against Leeds.
'There is no chance of Jackie being back for Sunday against Leeds.
'He's been out since the Swansea friendly game and one short session is the first thing he's done.' he told the E&S.
Following visits to see specialists to clear up his niggling hip problem, Jackie returned to training yesterday, but Mick is in no hurry to rush the influential defender back, wary of aggravating the problem.
'I won't be setting Jackie any targets. I never set any timelines for returning from injury, there is no point.
'You're always disappointed if they don't make it and so are they.' he added.
