As sound bites go Ståle Solbakken`s latest quote is a great one.
The Wolves gaffer believes that his side have gone from the Kings Of Wolverhampton to the Idiots over the past couple of months.
If it wasn`t so accurate I`m sure it would have picked up a few more laughs, but the unfortunate thing is, it really does sum up the last few months as a Wolves fan.
The last year or so has been miserable, by this time last year it was already pretty inevitable that we`d be in a relegation dogfight in the Premier League instead of kicking on as we had hoped.
By the time Terry Connor was given the job on a full time basis, any morale left around the dressing room following Mick McCarthy`s sacking had long since evaporated and relegation from the Premier League was inevitable.
So a summer of rebuilding ahead of a season in the Championship followed. The finances kept in shape and a new squad formed under new Norwegian boss Solbakken.
Six wins from the opening ten games of the Championship season left us third in the table and looking like contenders for promotion and an immediate bounceback to the Premier League.
But eight games later, no victories in over a month, five defeats and we`ve dropped back down the table to a lowly 17th.
"Already this season, we`ve gone through all phases; we started slowly, we came out of it and were kings of Wolverhampton for a few weeks, now we`re the idiots" said Solbakken to the Express & Star and many would say he was right.
But every game offers a chance to turn things around and once just one positive result comes, confidence can be restored and results can pick up again just as quickly as they dropped off and that`s certainly the view the players are holding going into tonights game with Millwall.
"I just think we need one win to get us going again, with a positive result we can stick our chests out and feel better about ourselves." Björn Sigurdarson told Wolves Official Website.
He continued: "I know it will be difficult for everyone tonight because fans are disappointed but we need everyone to support us and push in the same direction.
"We will certainly be doing our best and we have to show everyone that we can do this and we have what it takes to do well in this league.
