Wolves director quits

After five years on the board at Molinuex, Wolves director Bob Laslett has decided to resign.

Laslett joined the board in January 2008 and will officially leave the position in January 2013.

Laslett announced that as director and chairman/global chief executive of Chaucer Group he simply does not have the time to offer to the position in the boardroom.

The Chaucer Group were previously Wanderers main sponsors between 2004 and 2009 before being replaced by Sportingbet following promotion to the Premier League.

The Chaucer Group will remain as sponsor of the Wolves academy.

It's thought that there are currently no plans to replace Laslett on the board which now stands at chairman Steve Morgan, chief executive Jez Moxey and directors John Bowater and John Gough.

"It`s been a boyhood ambition of mine to serve the club and I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to be part of the Wolves board," said Laslett to the Express & Star.

He continued: "My day job requires a lot of global travel and unfortunately, going forwards, I can`t dedicate the time to the role I would ideally like.

"I wish to thank Steve Morgan and Jez Moxey who instigated my invitation to join the board, my fellow directors, the fans and everyone at the club.'
