Premier League clubs target Sako

Premier League clubs target Sako

Well that didn't take long did it? Premier League clubs are already keeping a close eye on Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Bakary Sako.

Now on Tuesday I may have written the following: 'He's probably only going to get better and better with time and he's probably the one player who we will struggle to hold on to'

But I did go on and add: 'beyond this season' and 'if we do not manage to bounce straight back up into the Premier League.'

Sky Sports on the other hand believe that we could be at risk of losing him during THIS upcoming January transfer window!

The 24-year-old form of 6 goals in 14 league games since joining the club from St Etienne in the summer has 'alerted Premier League clubs to his potential' according to Sky Sports.

Thankfully though Wolves gaffer Ståle Solbakken seems confident that he will not be losing his star player after only a few months.

'(Scouts are) something we have to live with - as long as we have television sets, people will look at him,' he told Sky.

He added: 'Him leaving? No, not at all - that's out of the question, supporters shouldn't be worried about that. There are no discussions about that at all.

'He signed a long-term contract and he's been here for four months. He can only add to his game by staying here.'

Vital Wolves Comment: Lets hope that resolve isn't tested with a big January bid.

as has been said - he's scored or been involved in just about every single goal we have scored. I understand we have to be careful with cash, but what is the point of not trying to do all we can to get in to the premier league so we dont have to keep selling our prized assetts. Get us some quality additions now to allow us to make real go of it ... lest we bobble about in the Championship for another 13 years.. Lest we forget, we've spent less than a thirs of what we got players going out on players coming in... WHERE IS THE CASH MORGAN ?????

The cash is coming....Stale has stated that money is available. Give him chance to spend it before you go off on one again mate. Come Feb 1st, if we haven't bought anyone in, then feel free to bash away to your hearts content. Lets just wait and see.

Wolves are very good at keeping players who have long term contracts, even if we do sell Sako it will be for very good money. Unfortunately everyone has a price... Personally I'd love if we keep him as he has been great!

Admant I wish people would learn math beore judging the owners --- UPFRONT Wolves had £12m for Fletch £7m for Jarvis £2m for Kightly and £1m for Guedioura thats £21m , Boukari £3m Sako £3m Doumbia £2m Sigurdarson £2.5m Margreiter £2m now thats £12.5 so how on earth is that less than a third of £21m , show me another club thats spent anywhere near as much as us , Bolton aint thats for sure and Blackburn only brought Rhodes in , also going on about selling prized assets, are you forgetting the fact ALL 3 PLAYERS WANTED TO LEAVE ??????????????? , some clubs would give everything to have an owner like ours and a MD who could get the money we did for Jarvo n Fletch ! , you seem to think of us as some Man Utd money making machine who turn over £150m a year , just get real will you for gods sake the argument is getting boring and has no backbone at all so change the record !

SA79, it's a blog, not a wikipedia entry ... my math might be out but the point is that we're a very profitable organisation, had a windfall from player sales, and without including the prem earnings or parachute payments should have the capacity for a couple of quality signings. I merely appear anxious because history has shown us we prefer to pay Moxey big bonuses than competitive player salaries ... I know we all want the same thing, so as Rustmonkey politely told me - I will shut up about transfers and money until Feb 1 ... and hopefully thereafter too WE ARE WOLVES !!!

Well all I know is everyteam that gets relegated and I include West Ham n the Geordies in this hardly spent a penny, most clubs tighten the ship to see whats what first season , you should be glad He's had 12.5m to spend and money available in Jan if he wants it, I only remember Stale not getting one player he was after and that was the centre half so can for the love of god tell me 10m's worth of players Stale went after and Moxey said no too ???? , I tell you something with the exception of that centre half I cant recall Moxey ever telling any manager He CANT buy a player , so I'll say again be carefull for what you wish for when it comes to owners n people who run the club , All I know is this is not Stales team and wont be until next season , you cant turn a rubbish team into a pass master side over night , 6/7/8 will go in the summer and I will judge him on next season when its his side , you cant ship out 18 players and buy 18 players in one season unfortunately as I reckon thats what Stale would have loved to have done !
