Zubar and Jonsson could go in January

Ronald Zubar and Eggert Jonsson will be allowed to leave Wolverhampton Wanderers in the January transfer window.

Zubar is just one of half a dozen players who are out-of-contract at the end of the current 2012/13 season.

The 27-year-old defender has made just four starts in the Championship so far this season and his exit was expected, but now it has been confirmed that we will allow him to leave in January.

'If the right offer comes in for Ronald, it`s a possibility that we won`t stand in the way. He wants regular first-team games and he deserves that.' Wolves gaffer Ståle Solbakken told the Express & Star.

Iceland international Jonsson was from Scottish side Hearts for £600,000 eleven months ago, he signed a three-and-a-half year deal but has only made four league appearances.

Solbakken is also happy to let him go if the right offer is made.

He continued: 'His attitude has been fine - he`s been smiling and working hard. And if the right deal for him comes along, we will let Eggert go permanently.

Not particularly a big issue for me. Neither have really contributed. I like Zubes but I di feel he makes silly mistakes. If we can replace them with the same standard as Sako and Siggy then it's not a loss.

Worryingly we are looking at extending Berras contract, and whilst he certainly hasnt been the worst defender - being the best of a bad bunch is no accolade ... though we were all of agreement that part of RJs impressive repertoire at Brum was his partnership with Dann ... so whay are we not looking at bringing in another imposing CB ? Zubes, Johnson, Hunt, even SEB, can all be on their merry way as long as we are filling the spots with quality ... 1 Striker, 1 Defender and 1 Frimpong will do me fine in the tx ... UTW !!!
