Unfortunately not a clean sheet in the sense of 90 minutes passing without a goal, we've only had one of them since October.
I am of course referring to the cliché that a new manager steps into a team and everyone get a clean slate to work from.
They all had a clean slate following Mick McCarthy, then they all had a clean slate following Terry Connor and now they'll receive another clean slate following the sacking of Stale Solbakken and the appointment of Dean Saunders.
"I`ve said to them all 'you`ve got a blank sheet of paper - show me you want to be here`. Saunders told the Birmingham Mail.
He added: "I`ve got no perceived ideas on any of them. I think we`ll probably get some offers for some of them and without me having seen them I might have to say 'yes` if it sheds a few players - or I have to use the money to get a couple in.
"But ideally I want to see them play. All I ask is that the players are patient with me.'
Two players who Dean Saunders is excited to see are Stephen Hunt and Jermaine Pennant.
Both might have thought that there time at Molineux was coming to an end, Pennant's loan from Stoke expires next week while Hunt is out-of-contract in June.
He continued: 'Hunt is a player I`m looking forward to working with. He`s got Premiership quality and a good attitude - he gives you everything. Let`s get him fit.
"I`ve given (Pennant) a clean sheet of paper too. We`ll have a conversation about it. He`s in a difficult situation because another manager brought him in on loan and I`ve got too many players, so we`ll see. But he`s a talented player."
