Berra deadline scrapped
Former Wolves gaffer Stale Solbakken had previously taken a hard approach with Scotland international Christophe Berra.
The defender is out-of-contract at Molineux at the end of the season and after a few changes of heart, he had been offered a new deal to remain with Wolves.
But that offer was only set to be on the table until the middle of this month, presumably to give the club time to attempt to cash in him before the close of the transfer window rather than watching him walk away for free.
But Dean Saunders is not taking the same approach, mainly down to not yet knowing him well enough to know if he wants him stay or go.
"That was a deal he had with the last manager. That doesn`t exist. I`ll just make a decision on what I see but he`s got to make a decision on us as well.' Saunders told the Express & Star.
He continued: "I`ll have that conversation with him sooner or later. You`ve got to watch them train and play. It`s alright on paper - playing 400-odd games - but what type of person are they now?
'Are they the motivated person that their stats tell you they are? And are they prepared to dig in for me and the club in this league?
Vital Wolves Comment: We've had the benefit of seeing Berra a bit more than Saunders so what do you think? Does he remain motivated? Is he prepared to dig in for the cause?
