Wigan want Zubar

Ronald Zubar is a wanted man.

He might not have been wanted by former boss Stale Solbakken, with his contract left to just tick away through it's final season. But now he finds himself in demand!

After reportedly looking set to be reunited with former gaffer Mick McCarthy at Ipswich Town he was put straight back in the team following the appointment of Dean Saunders at Molineux.

His last appearance under Solbakken was at the start of October, but under Saunders he has already played twice, playing 67 minutes against Blackburn before playing the full 90 against Sheffield Wednesday.

So will this now mean he will stay at Wolverhampton Wanderers? Well Click Lancashire have reported that Zubar is interesting Wigan Athletic, with Latics boss Roberto Martinez keeping his eye on the player.

The Spaniard has lost Ivan Ramis for the rest of the season and has previously stated that he needs to make a centre-half signing before the window closes and that man could be Zubar.
