Broken leg for Wolves defender
Wolves defender Kristian Kostrna has broken his leg whist away on International duty with Slovakia.
The 19-year old full-back was away in Portugal with his countries Under-21s squad when he sustained a double fracture.
A scan has revealed that he will require surgery and is expected to be out of action for around eight months.
"From the video footage of the game we can see Kristian sliding across to intercept a cross, and his studs seem to have got stuck in the grass whilst he went over on it," Head EDS Physiotherapist Jazz Sodhi told Wolves Official Website.
He continued: "It`s one of those that seems quite innocuous at the time but turned out to be very serious - a broken distal tibia and fibula, the two bones in the shin.
"We`ve been to see James Calder in London who has looked at the scans and we are now waiting for the joint swelling to settle and a further scan before he has surgery next Tuesday.
Vital Wolves Comment: We all wish him well for his operation and will keep our fingers crossed for a speedy recovery.
