Wolves did take some headlines on transfer deadline day, but only due to a last minute attempted raid by Scottish giants Celtic for Kevin Doyle.
Transfer deadline day promised to be a busy day for Wolverhampton Wanderers.
New gaffer Dean Saunders had categorically stated that while he believed restructuring the team would take several years, he also made it clear that he would be aiming to do business in this transfer window, moving players on and moving players in to Molineux to improve the quality of the squad.
Wolves defenders Ronald Zubar and Steven Mouyokolo were both shown the door the day before deadline day approached, with Richard Stearman also leaving on loan and reports suggested that the likes of Birmingham City players Marlon King and Curtis Davies could be targets ahead of the window closing, with a number of other players linked throughout the media.
But as Sky Sports News worked themselves up into a frenzy, it was all quiet on the Wolves front in terms of players coming in.
Our only movement? The signing of 18-year-old midfielder Lee Evans from Newport County. Literally no joke.
But thankfully there wasn't any movement out either.
As mentioned before, Sky Sports News spent the day working themselves up into a frenzy, if you ignored Mario Balotelli's move from Manchester City to AC Milan and David Beckham's signing for PSG, not much happened.
This was highlighted by the regularity that they flicked over to the rather lovely Kate Riley because Norwich throughout the day attempted to sign Celtic's Gary Hooper.
After the what appeared to be ninetieth rejection a twist appeared to happen later in the day that could have suggested that the two clubs were close to agreeing a fee and that was Celtic's beat-the-deadline bid for Kevin Doyle.
With time running out it was easy to reject the approach, especially as it was only an loan bid for the Republic Of Ireland striker.
Wanderers later released a statement on Wolves Official Website that confirmed a bid was rejected: 'Wolves can confirm that an offer was received for striker Kevin Doyle shortly before the closure of the transfer window on Thursday evening.
This bid was rejected, as were a number of others for key players during January.'
