In the aftermath of the lack of movement in the transfer window, some Wolves fans have vented their frustrations towards Morgan & Moxey.
When it comes to the clubs financial spending, Wolves fans find themselves divided. Many believe that Wolverhampton Wanderers have been prudent in their spending.
Whilst in the Premier League we regularly broke our own transfer records to sign a key player each season in a bid to build the team and establish ourselves in the top flight. We also spent money on the ground and infrastructure of the club.
The finances were thought to be well in hand and we looked secure following relegation from the Premier League.
Former boss Stale Solbakken received the backing of owner Steve Morgan and CEO Jez Moxey, but new boss Dean Saunders appears to have been given directions to cut the wage bill before improving the squad.
It's a fine balance and many believe that we are now underspending and lacking the ambition required to climb back up the Championship table.
But Saunders has defended Morgan claiming the reason for a lack of movement in the transfer window was down to him. With the new gaffer refusing to pay over inflated prices during the January transfer window rush.
"If the Chairman feels a player can improve us and be part of a building block for next season he is prepared to spend the money, There were a couple of players but we were being quoted silly money. Saunders told the Birmingham Mail.
Two of his targets were Birmingham City's Marlon King and Curtis Davies, but with Wolves quoted £3.5million for the pair Saunders decided not to spend.
He continued: "Birmingham didn`t want to sell any of their players to us.
"I felt they would have added something to what we`ve got but they didn`t want to sell.
The loan window re-opens tomorrow and Saunders hasn't ruled out making a move before the weekend: "Clubs signed players at the last minute so others become available - different players will be available on Thursday,"
