Berra will leave Wolves
Somewhat unsurprisingly Wolves gaffer Dean Saunders has confirmed that Christophe Berra will be leaving Molineux come the end of the season.
The 27-year-old who has made over 150 appearances for the club since joining from Hearts in a £2.3million transfer in 2009 is out-of-contract in the summer.
He made 39 appearances this season before being dropped by Dean Saunders back in February following the signing of Kaspars Gorkss.
The 31-year-old is set to sign permanently for Wolves in the summer, as long as we do avoid relegation and Saunders has revealed that this deal was concluded with Berra's departure in mind.
'(Berra's) made it clear he`s not going to sign a contract, and I had the chance to sign Kaspars Gorkss with one eye on the future, so I had to do what was right for the club.' Saunders told the Express & Star.
He added: "But I have not ruled out playing Christophe between now and the end of the season - I told him a few days ago 'make sure you`re ready.`
'We have only got to get one injury and he would be involved."
Saunders did however confirm that both Sylvain Ebanks-Blake and Stephen Hunt would be offered new contracts.
