'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Wolves will grind it out

It feels like Wolves are facing 24 opponents in League One this season, the 23 other teams and the weather.

Our match with Stevenage was called off on Friday, due to another waterlogged pitch.

It was the second postponement in less than a month after the trip to Crawley also fell victim to the elements.

The Stevenage fixture will now have to be rearranged and looks likely to slot in on March 4th, adding to an already heavily congested fixture list which sees another eight games played during March.

"The weather is different, pitches are slightly different, so we have to make sure if we have to grind it out in this period, we can," Wolves head coach Kenny Jackett told the Express & Star.

But while the heavy pitches might not help Wolves plan of free flowing football, Jackett will stick to his principles.

He continued: "For us to be a good club and to achieve anything, we have to play it out from the back, It has to be a habit that runs right through the club where everyone has to be comfortable on the ball."
