Wolves fail to make it 10-in-a-row
Wolverhampton Wanderers failed to extend their winning run to ten matches on Saturday.
Kenny Jackett's side failed to find the breakthrough against Shrewsbury and in the end had to settle for a point following the goalless draw.
Despite remaining unbeaten and top of the League One table, the result ended Wolves club record run of nine consecutive victories.
This was a match that Wolves were heavy favourites for, so failing to pick up the three points was somewhat of a surprise.
But Jackett refused to blame the sides current frantic schedule for failing to get the victory.
"I don`t think tiredness was a factor, I hope not and I don`t think that was the case.' Wolves Head Coach Kenny Jackett told the Express & Star.
Wolves are set to play nine matches in under a month over the coming weeks.
He continued: "We prepare the players very well and it`s perhaps an easy excuse and not one I particularly want to offer.
"Although I`m not happy with a point, we`ll try to get back to our clinical best tomorrow."
Wolves face Crawley on Tuesday night.
