Wolves face chase for Newcastle midfielder
Wolverhampton Wanderers continue to be linked to players as Head Coach Kenny Jackett looks to build his new squad for the Championship.
Midfield certainly appears to be an area that is getting a lot of interest, with previous reports linking Wolves with moves for Coventry City's out-of-contract midfielder Franck Moussa and Sheffield United Player of the Year Harry Maguire.
But now Wolves have been linked with yet another midfielder who has come to the end of his contract and is available on a free transfer.
22-year-old Conor Newton is set to leave Newcastle United over the summer.
He's spent the last two seasons on loan with Scottish side St Mirren where he has made 59 appearances. But its now time for him to make a permanent home elsewhere and speculation suggests that it could be Molinuex.
"There`s lots of Championship interest in Conor, as well as teams looking to go up to the Championship, and the interest is coming in quite quickly.
"Wolves` interest is pretty serious - they`ve been to watch him quite a few times and have been tracking him for a while.' A source told the Express & Star.
They added: "Wolves have been in for him before on loan before he went back to St Mirren and I think he`d be keen on joining them."
Whilst Newton added: "I`ve decided to move on from Newcastle when my contract expires.
"I just feel I need to leave so I can continue my own career."
