Stearman set to stay at Wolves
Despite the interest of Celtic, Burnley and Middlesbrough, Richard Stearman is set to sign a new deal with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
There had been concerns that may lose Richard Stearman after delaying contract talks for too long, with the 26-year-old out-of-contract at Molinuex in the summer.
Negotiations regarding personal terms with senior players were put on hold during the end-of-season run-in. But for whatever reason it appeared that talks with both Stearman and Dave Edwards remained delayed for weeks after promotion was confirmed.
Championship rivals Middlesbrough, Scottish giants Celtic and newly promoted Premier League side Burnley were then all linked with Stearman as talks remained quiet.
Stearman had previously stated that he would love to remain at Molineux, but the delay in an announcement had many around Molinuex worried.
