Rajiv van La Parra pleased to join Wolves

Rajiv van La Parra is looking forward to impressing the Wolverhampton Wanderers supporters upon his arrival next month.

The 23-year-old winger will complete his move from top-flight Dutch club Heerenveen on July 1st.

La Parra was a product of the Feyenoord youth system before making the move to France with French Ligue 1 club Caen in 2008. He made 16 appearances before returning to Holland with Heerenveen in 2011.

He proved to be a success in the Eredivisie and made over 90 appearances for the club in both domestic competition and the UEFA Europa League.

He has also played for the Netherlands at Under-17, Under-19 and Under-21 level.

"I am very happy to sign here and think it is a good step for my career,"

"Wolves is a big club with a big history and it is good for me to come here and try and play a lot of games and to do my best.' Rajiv van La Parra told Wolves Official Website.

He added: "From when I was young I have wanted to play in England so that was an important reason for me to come here.

"I like English football and the way teams play and hopefully it is something that I will fit in to.

"People here live for football and I have that same feeling - I live for football and I want to do my best and hopefully I can show the supporters and everyone at Wolves some good things.'
