No enquiries for Kevin Doyle
Wolverhampton Wanderers have received no enquiries for striker Kevin Doyle.
The 30-year-old Republic Of Ireland international is reportedly on £40,000-a-week and still has a year remaining on his contract at Molineux.
He spent the end of last season on loan with Queens Park Rangers, but following their promotion back to the Premier League there has been no interest in a possible Loftus Road return for Doyle.
That has left head coach Kenny Jackett with a bit of a conundrum, use him as part of the first team squad or put him into exile with the other unwanted members of the squad?
The first indication we will have is whether or not he is used in the squad who travel to Dublin next week for games against Shamrock Rovers and Bohemians.
"Kevin and Stephen Ward are back today and I will speak to them. I`ll see what type of offers Kevin has and where he sees things progressing as well.
"It is one of those situations where I`ll assess it as I go along. But I won`t hesitate to use him if I think it`s the right thing, as I would with any player.
"I`ll keep open on that one (Doyle) and won`t make a decision right now." Jackett told the Birmingham Mail.
He added: "The player`s options, player`s view and the options from our point of view, which is very quiet at the moment - we haven`t had any enquiries.
