Sako is settled at Wolves

Gaffer Kenny Jackett is backing Bakery Sako to storm the Championship with Wolverhampton Wanderers next season.

The Mali international was given a few extra days off from returning to pre-season training after playing for his country against Croatia on May 31st.

"Bakary came back on Monday and there are no problems," Jackett told the Birmingham Mail.

Despite lots of interest in Sako over the past year he has remained at Molineux as clubs failed to reach Wolves valuation of the player.

First there was Fulham who went on to suffer relegation from the Premier League and will face Wolves this season in the Championship.

Then there was Nottingham Forest, who once again failed in their bid for promotion to the Premier League and will also play Wolves this season.

Jackett added: "He is a player who gets linked in the press and we understand that,`

"Sako is here, he is a good player who is settled at the club and I think he will play well for us this season."
