I'm not a celebrity, get me out of here!

I'm not a celebrity, get me out of here!

Jamie O'Hara has admitted that his relationship with glamour model wife Danielle Lloyd has affected his career.

The 27-year-old midfielder has been with the former Miss England model since April 2009 and the couple married in May 2012.

They have two children together Archie born in July 2010 and Harry just 12 months later.

With the couple in the public eye and Lloyd a favourite in the gossip mags, O'Hara believes he has suffered as a consequence.

'The perception is that people think I`m a celebrity and when I hear people saying that I`m a celebrity it`s like a stake in my heart.' he told Sky Sports.

He continued: 'I didn`t fall in love with my wife because she was a model, I fell in love with her because she is the woman that she is.

'She is a great person but I have had to learn now to separate that and put that aside. It has affected my football career and that`s what is hurting me the most.'

O'Hara joined Wolves in January 2011 initially on loan before a permanent move was agreed for £5million.

Despite remaining at the club following back-to-back relegations from the Premier League and the Championship, O'Hara remains at Molineux with a further two years remaining on his £20,000-plus weekly salary.

Last season he played just 40 minutes of football, spread across two substitute appearances in League One as Wolves gaffer Kenny Jackett threw him into exile.

Wolves are desperate to get rid and despite not even searching for a transfer fee, it would seem no clubs are interested.

"I don`t think a fee is part of the situation - the whole financial deal is complicated by somebody on high wages because people are going to pay all or a percentage of his salary, and that`s the deal to be done," Jackett told the Express & Star.

He continued: "I think there`s a deal to be done with regards to the player.

"I think he`s desperate and really looking for someone to take a chance on him and give him a fresh start in football after a year after a year out."
