Wolves a surprise package of the Championship?
Can Wolverhampton Wanderers really be the surprise package in the Championship this season?
It may well only be August, but with three victories over all three of the recently relegated Premier League sides. Wolves have looked strong following a return to the second tier.
Are we capable of back-to-back promotions?
That of course has been our ambition, ever since we tumbled out of the Premier League with back-to-back relegations.
Wolves Head Coach, Kenny Jackett has looked to rebuild the squad, shifting the dead wood and sending into exile those players who do fit the mould.
"I think we`ve surprised a few teams with how well we can pass the ball," Sam Ricketts told the Express & Star.
He added: "Clubs at this level didn`t really watch us last season and they seem surprised at how well we pass the ball.
"But all we`ve done is do what we did in the second half of last season and we`ve carried it on into this year."
So far, it's worked but talk of keeping our head down and being the surprise package, is that really realistic?
Teams in the Championship have diverse scouting systems and it's not like we're one of the small clubs in the division. Can we really go under the radar for long?
He continued: "We`ve started very well with nine points from the first four games so we`re averaging more than two points a game, which is what we did last season.
"It`s all very well beating all three relegated sides and that`s a great testament to what we`ve done, but it`s not just those three games that are going to help us reach our target, it`s all the other 42 matches and the wins we need to pick up against all the sides because it`s a league where anyone can beat anyone."
