Jackett preparing for loss of Sako and Dicko
Two of Wolverhampton Wanderers key players could be missing for over a month if Mali qualify for the African Nations Cup.
Bakary Sako and Nouha Dicko are currently away on international duty with Mali ahead of their qualifying match with Malawi.
If Mali qualify from the group they will be heading for the African Nations Cup in Morocco at the turn of the year.
The competition lasts from January 17th to February 8th, but as well as the three weeks that the tournament takes place, there is likely to be some pre-tournament preparation time which will keep the pair away from Wolves for well over month.
At the moment, with so many variables Wolves Head Coach Kenny Jackett has not yet put a contingency plan together, but once we know he will make the various steps required to plug the gaps left.
"It all depends on selection and qualification and then it does look like a month out," Jackett told the Birmingham Mail.
He continued: "Potentially it`s something we have to think about at the turn of the year, definitely.
"We must watch it closely and then be ready because they`re two good players for us.
"At the right time, I would sign other players or have other players that are ready and good enough."
