Henry stakes his claim

So far this season Wolverhampton Wanderers new signing Rajiv van La Parra has kept James Henry out of the starting line-up.

Considering the quality of Henry that's not an easy task and against Blackburn on Saturday, Henry staked his claim in the team with his performance as a half time substitute.

His performance did not go unnoticed by Wolves gaffer Kenny Jackett, who praised the former Millwall man.

"It`s that type of performance (from Henry) that`s going to get you into the team and if you do, then it`s about holding onto that shirt," Jackett told the Wolves Official Website.

He continued: "With the way James has trained over the last week or two, I was confident of making the change.

"A slightly different type of player gave their left-back more problems than Rajiv did in the first half.

Jackett went on to add that if he had this amount of competition for places in every position, his job would be an easy one.

He concluded: "If we can recreate that in all positions my job will be a lot easier."
