Anderton Close To Return?

Midfielder Darren Anderton could be in line for a return to the first team starting eleven for Tuesdays game v Derby.

Anderton, whose career has been blighted by injuries leading to his nickname 'sicknote' has been out for over a month with shin and knee problems.

The former Spurs midfielder came on as a sub in the second half as we lost to Sheffield Utd on Saturday.

Clyde is fighting his way back to fitness following his ankle surgery and Matt Murray, although not close to match fitness, is recovering from his broken foot.

On the flipside, Paul Ince is likely to remain on the treatment table as he struggles for fitness following a torn thight muscle, made worse by a chest infection.

Don't stop reading, it gets worse! Man about team Jackie McNamara is waiting to see if he requires surgery on a knee problem.

Although TAS lifted the ban temporarily, Roma don't know if they will be blocked from doing transfer dealings during the January window. If FIFA get their way, the ban will not be lifted.
