Cavaleiro In Team Of The Week (3/10/17)

Cavaleiro In Team Of The Week (3/10/17)

Wolverhampton Wanderers are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week's action.

The performance by Ivan Cavaleiro in the four nil victory over Burton Albion at the weekend at the Pirelli Stadium was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we'll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Maddison was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice - the FL blurb read.

'Wolves were rampant at Burton Albion, putting four goals past their hosts in a dominant display at the Pirelli Stadium. The Portuguese winger played a big part in three of those, teeing up Diogo Jota and Ruben Vinagre, before linking up with Matt Doherty for Leo Bonatini to eventually profit.'

It's always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Cavaleiro for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Mark Oxley (Southend United), Ethan Ebanks-Landell (MK Dons), Matt Preston (Swindon Town), Nathaniel Knight-Percival (Bradford City), Kamil Grosicki (Hull City), Tariqe Fosu (Charlton Athletic), Jack Payne (Oxford United), James Maddison (Norwich City), Ivan Cavaleiro (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Danny Rose (Mansfield Town), Jayden Stockley (Exeter City).

Manager - Leonid Slutsky (Hull City).
