Jota Takes PFA Player Of The Month For September
Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Diogo Jota has taken the new PFA Fans' Player of the Month Award for August and September.
The 20 year old joined Wolves from FC Porto on a loan spell back in late July and so far the player has started all eleven games in the Championship, with the Portuguese talent returning six goals as Wolves have stormed into second place in the table with a total of 23 points so far.
Jota was up against top of the table Cardiff City duo Junior Hoilett and Sol Bamba, Bristol City's Joe Bryan and Bobby Reid along with Queens Park Rangers' Luke Freeman for the prize.
Vital Football announced in October that we would be assisting in giving fans the opportunity to vote in The PFA Bristol Street Motors Fans' Player of the Month Awards. Vital Football are part of the Snack Media set up, and Snack Media are the new digital media partner of the Professional Footballers Association of England and Wales for the next three years and they have revamped the PFA's monthly awards.
Premier League voting will take place on Tuesdays, with the Championship following on Wednesdays, League One on Thursdays and League Two on Fridays and voting will take place between the hours of 10am and 8pm or 11pm on each day and outside of those hours the visible 'voting widget' will be offline. The winner of each Award will be announced the following day after their respective league voting closes at 9am.
Over those days, and during the voting hours for each division, fans will automatically see the voting widget appear at the bottom of articles on the network.
The shortlists for each vote (six players) will be drawn up with regular panellists from both the PFA and the Snack Media Group and they will be joined by monthly guest panellists which will include former players, managers, officials, journalists, social media influencers and fans themselves.
