Davies Will Not Be Rushed Back

Davies Will Not Be Rushed Back

Rumours and conspiracy theories have once again been knocking around the streets on Molineux regarding Mark Davies`s absence from first team duties, but rest assured there is nothing for the Wolves faithful to get worried about on that front.

Walking back to the pub after the Plymouth game me and a mate got talking about Mark Davies and why he wasn`t being included in the squad recently, and we both agreed that McCarthy wasn`t going to rush him back to quickly after returning from a nasty knee injury, it was a better option then the one`s we had been hearing during the day, like he had fell out with McCarthy after the gaffer blocked a move from Aston Villa on deadline day.

Anyway we weren`t surprised to hear McCarthy`s comments about Davies and the kid gloves treatment from the boss, you have to remember Davies is still only 19 years of age ,and to suffer an injury like he did at a young age it would be stupid to rush him back, and McCarthy has said just that after he left him out of the 16 on Saturday against Plymouth.
'It was a tactical decision not to include Mark on Saturday,'
'Since coming back from his (knee) injury he's only played 15 and 30 minutes against Oldham and 45 minutes against West Brom (plus injury time v Barnsley) - and like most 19 year olds he's desperate to be involved."
'He's not had the opportunity to start yet because the other lads in that position have been doing well."

Davies will be in action for the England under 19`s tonight and McCarthy will hope that this run out for the young midfielder will add to his comeback being a success, because Davies is the future and one hell of a talented kid and a fully fit Davies will help Wolves no end.
