Instant Reactions - Wolves v Norwich (21/2/18)
Following today's clash between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Norwich City, here are the instant reactions from both managers.
Wolverhampton Wanderers hosted Norwich City at the Molineux for a 7.45pm kick off on Wednesday February 21, with both sides playing out a two all draw on the evening.
A Jamal Lewis own goal in the 14th minute gave Wolves the advantage and Alfred N'Diaye doubled their lead 25 minutes in. Norwich hit back quickly through Christoph Zimmerman two minutes later and even though Norwich then edged the stats, it took a Nelson Oliveira effort three minutes into stoppage time to earn them a point.
With back to back draws for Wolves some are wondering if the bubble has finally burst and they have further frustration as Ruben Neves now serves a two match ban following his tenth yellow card of the season.
For Norwich it's the second time up four days that last minute equalisers have saved them from defeat and they'll be hoping they can take confidence from that moving forward.
Ruddy, Bennett, Coady, Boly, Doherty, N'Diaye (Gibbs-White 69), Neves, Douglas, Costa (Saiss 45), Jota, Cavaleiro (Afobe 60).
Batth, Miranda, Norris, Bonatini.
Gunn, Hanley, Zimmermann, Klose, Reed, Leitner, Vrancic (Hernandez 83), Lewis, Maddison, Watkins (Murphy 83), Srbeny (Oliveira 68).
Husband, Raggett, Tettey, McGovern.
Speaking to the BBC's cameras a short time after match day referee James Linington blew the final whistle, Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Nuno Espirito Santo explained.
'It feels like a punch. It goes in, then there's the final whistle. There's no time left and you've lost what you had. But football is like that. You have to be relentless and maintain your focus. John Ruddy has made so many saves and earned us so many points this season. We are not about individuals. We are a team. It was a set piece that got them back in the game, which disappoints us, but we had chances to kill the game and did not take them.'
Norwich City boss Daniel Farke in his comparative interview explained.
'It's a good point. I'm proud of my lads. We deserved to come back. We dominated lots of the game. It was a late equaliser but a deserved one. We control games and look to exhaust opponents. That helps us to score late goals.'
