Harsh Lesson Learned
A moments youthful impetuosity by Darren Potter will force Wolves manager Mick McCarthy to rethink his squad selection for Saturdays key away match with Luton Town.
With 2 minutes left on the clock, Potter picked up a fifth booking of the season, on the day the slate was wiped clean for disciplinary indiscretions, and will now miss Wanderers next fixture.
'It is frustrating because if I'd not have lost my head for those two minutes then I would be clear because after this game it wouldn't have mattered.' he said after the 1-0 victory against Leeds.
Not as frustrating as for Mick McCarthy, who has limited options in the middle of the park.
There are question marks over Denes Rosa and Mark Davies' ability to compete for a full 90 minutes, and both favour an attacking midfield position, which would force the in-form Seyi Olofinjana into a more defensive role.
More favourable might be a move to bring back captain Jody Craddock, or Gary Breen and move Karl Henry back into midfield, allowing Rob Edwards to slot in at his more familiar right back position, but whichever option McCarthy chooses, it is not going to be one made by design.
