'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Perfect Timing

Wolves take on Mansfield Town at Compton tomorrow in a friendly match that couldn't have come at a better time.

With Darren Potter suspended for their next key game, Mick McCarthy will be forced to shuffle his pack as they go in search of their sixth win on the bounce.

With the manager already indicating his intention to field an impressively strong side, it will give him ample chance to run the rule over the players in contention for a starting berth.

Key players who will be given the chance to shine include Jay Bothroyd, Mark Davies, Daniel Jones, Rohan Ricketts, Jamie Clapham, Gary Breen and Jody Craddock.

If all three defenders come through unscathed, McCarthy's options will be increased by freeing up Karl Henry as he looks to create cover for the hole left by the influential midfielder.
