'If It's Football, It's Vital'

McCarthy Acknowledges Duo

Wolves currently sit five points off the top of the Championship, and confidence at the club is riding high.

Four wins from four matches has seen them keep in touch with the leaders and establish themselves as genuine promotion contenders.

But how different might things have been had they had the luxury of strike pair Andy Keogh and Stephen Ward all season?

Mick McCarthy has been quick to acknowledge the impact the two have had since their arrival at the club

"The two of them have played well together," he told The Evening Mail.

"Stephen`s got the goals and has had the headlines, but both of them have worked their socks off and had a big impact on the team."

"I`ll have a chat with Andy about goals, but it`s not a concern particularly when you`re winning games,"

"It`ll be narking him because he`s a centre- forward who wants to score goals.'
