900 GUESTS TO GATHER FOR THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE AWARDS
Sunday`s Event Will Recognise Excellence On & Off The Pitch -
The 2007 Football League Awards incorporating FourFourTwo`s Top 50 Football League Players will take place on Sunday 4th March in front of over 900 guests at the Grosvenor House on London`s Park Lane.
The Football League Awards aim to reward examples of excellence both on and off the pitch, with both football and industry awards being presented on the night.
In its second year, The Awards will once again be presented by Sky Sports' Jeff Stelling. Fans wishing to catch up with the best of the action can do so by tuning in to the highlights show on Sky Sports 1 on Thursday 8th March at 6:30pm and again at 11pm.
Stewart Thomson, Commercial Director of The Football League, said: "We are really looking forward to the 2007 Football League Awards. They will provide a fantastic opportunity for us to recognise the achievements and outstanding commitment of Football League players, clubs and their supporters."
Video footage of the five goals shortlisted for the Goal of the Year Award are now available to view on the Football League website. These can be found on The Football League home page www.football-league.co.uk
The Award categories include Player of the Year in each division, Young Player of the Year, Community Club of the Year and Fan of the Year. In total, fourteen sponsors have signed up for the event.
