Hungry Squad Gives Edge

Wolves captain Jody Craddock believes that the hunger, desire and fierce competition within his team's squad could be deciding factors in the run in to the play-off's.

Currently sitting on the bench, Jody has found, as have many, that if you miss a match , for whatever reason, there is someone waiting to take their chance and make your starting spot their own.

Which can only benefit the team, as he explains :

"It`s definitely a good thing - no-one should be assured of their place just because of their reputation," he said.

"Obviously I want to play in the first team, but I`ve been out injured and it`s a real bonus for the team to have players capable of coming in and managing to stay in.

"I think having a strong squad and having players who are hungry to prove themselves will be a big advantage going into the final 10 or so games. I think me, Breeny and Jay Bothroyd all want to be back in the team, but none of us can complain if the other lads are playing well."

Having now recovered from his niggling Achilles injury, Jody's quick to allay any fears that his enforced lay off has effected his abillities on teh pitch, on eth contrary, as he went on to explain.

"I`ve got my fitness and match sharpness up now so there is no doubt in my mind that I`d be able to play a full 90 minutes," he said.

"It was a frustrating period, but hopefully I`m starting to see the benefits of not rushing back too soon."
