'It's Mine'

Michael Kightly has finally broken his silence and staked a claim to Wolves opener on Saturday.

Talking to the club's official site he said:

'I definitely feel that it was my goal. If Breeny got a touch then it's his - but I don't think that he did.

'Goals don't come easily and I'd like to think that one on Saturday will be credited to me because I honestly think that it's mine. If I wasn't convinced, I would say so.'

Many fans who witnessed the goal are equally as convinced as Kightly that the ball hit the net direct from his whipped in free kick.

Our current poll shows 88% of members think that it's Kightly's name that should be recorded on the score sheet too.

But as the club have only recently recieved footage to examine due to a technical fault on the day, Kightly will have to wait a little bit longer to find out if he can chalk up his sixth goal of the season just yet.
