Hendrie A Possibility?

Despite publicly praising and supporting terrace favourite Lee Hendrie, an article in todays Guardian claims David O'leary may finally be open to offers for the one-club Villa midfielder.

Glenn Hoddle has long been an admirer of Hendrie's and has made no secret of his desire to to work with him and Hendrie has made only 6 league appearances so far this season, 4 of those as sub.

At the start of last season Gary Lineker was joking that Hendrie was organising his own Goal of the Season competition. Now he can hardly get a game. Thats quite a turn of fortune for a player approaching his 300th appearance for his only club.

If The Guardian proves to be more than mischevous speculation Lee Hendrie will not be short of Championship suitors, some of them holdng higher league placings than Hoddle's Wolves. But Glenn Hoddle's presence in the equation shouldn't be underestimated, and it would be no surprise to see him play out the rest of this season at Molineux
