Hoddle Eyeing Tanardice Defender ?
Wolves manager Glenn Hoddle is said to running the rule over Scotland Under 21 defender Mark Wilson, although United chairman Eddie Thompson is adamant he wont see his star defender leave for a song.
“As far as I am concerned, if anyone came in with less than £500,000 I wouldn’t bother even looking at it. Right now, there is no offer on the table for Mark, but Celtic have shown an interest, while Wolves boss Glenn Hoddle has asked us not to do anything without informing him.” he told The Telegraph
Wilson, who is under contract until 2008 has caught the eye of quite a few managers both in Scotland as well as south of the border. He is widely tipped for an eventual move up to the full Scottish National side and Dundee United value his presence both on and off the pitch.
“Mark is going to be a full Scotland international player. Not only is he a top player, he is also a good guy off the park. Any club would be getting both should we decide to sell,” added Thompson
Reports from Scotland indicate that Celtic may be ready to put a cash valuation on Wilson before this weekends Scottish Cup ties, with Hoddle watching closely any developments
