'If It's Football, It's Vital'

No I In Wolves

Wolves goalscoring hero Jay Bothroyd has played down his part in Wolves dramatic 1-0 win in the black country derby on Sunday.

Bothroyd's introduction into the fray with half an hour to go turned the finely poised match in Wolves favour, but he modestly refuses to accept all the credit for the win.

"Overall I think it was a great team performance. Obviously I am delighted to score on a personal level, but first and foremost this is a great result for the team.

'Matty was fantastic in goal, he pulled off some great saves, and everyone else was terrific as well. It is hard to single anyone out.' he said.

Just another sign of the team spirit and genuine cammeraderie that has been instilled into the squad since the arrival of Mick McCarthy.
