Murray Misses Out

There is no place for in form Matt Murray in Steve McClarens latest England squad for the upcoming Euro 2008 qualifiers.

There was also no place for former old boy Lee Naylor who was thought to be oin contention following his excellent Champions League. performances.

McClaren has instead opted to play safe selecting the trio of Paul Robinson, Ben Foster and Scott Carson in goal, and right footed options at left back.

Whether or not Matt`s latest injury scare had anything to do with the omission is unclear , but he must be wondering exactly what he has to do to work his way into the national side following his recent outstanding performances for Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Manager Mick McCarthy certainly thinks so.

Talking to the clubs official site earlier today he said :
'The way Matt has been playing for us this season, he's got to be one of the best English keepers in the country.
'He's one of the reasons we've done so well'

Don`t worry Matt, you`re time will come, and to every Wolves fan at least, you will always be England`s Number One.
