'If It's Football, It's Vital'

The Guv'nor Is Back

Paul Ince has talked of his relief coming through his first 90 minutes since coming back from injury, and also joked about his immaculate timing. Paul spoke to the clubs official site earlier.

'It was great to be out there,' he said after today's game. 'It has been a long time coming, and it's just typical that as I make my return to the starting line-up, it starts to snow! But I wouldn't have missed the game for the world.'

'Seriously though, I was sceptical that I'd make the full 90 minutes, but I came through it OK and I had a fair bit of possession.'

The timing of the 3rd round, straight after a quick succesion of fixtures, and the tempo the game was played at certainly helped, but Ince showed today that there is more to come yet from this midfield General. When asked for his feeling on their overall performance the Wolves Captain said

'We played well in the first-half, we really battered them, but then in the second-half we let them back in the game a bit, and that could have been dangerous.'

'But, today was all about getting into the next round, and that job is done.'
