Murray In Nigeria Link

Wolves in form 'keeper has emerged as a surprise International target for the Super Eagles manager Bertie Vogts.

Although born in England and brought up by foster parents, Murray believes his father was Nigerian, which paves the way for a call up.

Roy Ezeala, a Nigerian agenat and part of the team responsible for securing the services of Vogts has been quoted as saying :

'Berti is always on the look-out for Nigerian players doing well at European clubs and all over the world and he is presently working on getting the keeper at Wolves to play for the Super Eagles.

'The thing now is that we have to establish he is Nigerian and also ready to play for Nigeria.

'Already, I`ve tried to get in touch with Seyi who is the guy`s teammate at Wolves.

'But we are doing all we can and as soon as I get his (Murray`s) phone number, we will establish contact with him and take it from there.

'Berti will then go to England, watch him and meet with him and his club manager.

'That is what he did with Victor Anichebe and how he operates.

'He intends giving all Nigerians doing well at their clubs chances to play their way into the Super Eagles."

Nigeria's gain would be England's loss and at Olofin Towers anyway, should Bertie Vogts succeed, it will be just another reason to pour scorn on England boss Steve McLaren.

This could have been made an irrelevance had McLaren had the cojones to play him already. It will be scandalous if the National side loses out on his services

The Daily Mirror, ever quick on the uptake are reporting this now as well. Nice to see the so called newspapers have their finger on the pulse
