'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Idiakez Going Nowhere

Derby's Director of Football has spoken out to quash rumours suggesting star player Inigo Idiakez is unhappy at the club.

'These reports are absolute nonsense. It's rumour-mongering and mischief-making and it's unsettling for the club, the player and the supporters.' Murdo Mackay said today.

Idiakez has been linked with moves to several clubs including Wolves, but Mackay has no hesitation dispelling any Derby fears.

'Although speculation will always surround a player of Ini's quality, he and his family love it in Derby.' he added.

With no confirmation of interest from the club, any speculation over Wolves interest in Idiakez, after the summer, seemed to be far fetched. But as Wolves search for new recruits continues, there will be many more to come
